Bora在细胞功能调控中的作用和机制研究进展

摘 要:Aurora 蛋白激酶 A 及Polo 样蛋白激酶1(PLK1) 作为重要的细胞周期调节蛋白可参与调控纺锤体组装、有丝分裂等细胞进程,但其激活机制及在有丝分裂中的作用机制仍然不是很清楚。Bora 作为Aurora 蛋白激酶A 的结合蛋白, 在果蝇和脊椎动物中功能高度保守,其主要通过结合Aurora 蛋白激酶A 从而调节Aurora 蛋白激酶A 的活性、促进PLK1 的磷酸化、调节纺锤体的组装以及调控细胞周期进程等。随着对Bora 研究的深入,人们对Aurora A 和PLK1 的激活机制以及Bora、Aurora 蛋白激酶 A、PLK1 三者对细胞的调控也有了进一步的认识。主要综述Bora 在细胞功能调控中的作用和研究机制。

Progress in the roles and regulatory mechanism of Bora during cell cycle

Abstract: Aurora-A kinase and Polo-like kinase 1(PLK1) are important mitotic kinases required for spindle assembly and cell cycle, however their own activation mechanism and the mechanism of action have remained elusive. Bora, as the binding partner of Aurora A, is highly conserved in Drosophila and Vertebrate. Mainly by binding to and activating Aurora kinase A, Bora could promote the phosphorylation of Polo like kinase 1 (PLK1), regulate the spindle assembly and the progress of cell cycle during mitosis. With the further advance of Bora, it provides a new insights into the activation mechanism of Aurora kinase A and PLK1 and interactions among PLK1, Bora, and Aurora kinase A. Recent progress in the roles and mechanism of Bora will be summarized during mitotic cell cycle.
