植物中的RB蛋白:不表现抑肿瘤功能的抑肿瘤蛋白?

摘 要:视网膜神经胶质瘤易感蛋白(RB)是人类发现的第一个抑肿瘤蛋白,它在细胞的增殖和分化过程中发挥重要的调节作用。从20世纪90年代中期发现第一个植物RB同源(RB-related, RBR)蛋白以来,植物RBR蛋白已被证明广泛分布于各种植物中。通过RB-E2F信号途径以及招募染色质重塑因子,植物RBR蛋白作为植物细胞增殖的负调控因子,可以抑制细胞的有丝分裂和核内复制以及维持细胞的分化状态,进而在不同的植物组织中表现出多样的生理功能。对于植物RBR蛋白功能的认识已经有了长足的进步,但是它的许多特性仍需要更为深入的阐明。

The plant retinoblastoma proteins: tumor suppressor without performing tumor suppression?

Abstract: The human retinoblastoma susceptibility (RB) protein, known as the first tumor suppressor, plays a central role in the regulation of cell division and differentiation. Since the identification of the first plant homologue of RB-related (RBR) protein in mid-1990s, an increasing number of plant genes encoding RBR proteins has been isolated from various plant species. As a negative regulator of cell proliferation through RB-E2F pathway and recruiting chromatin-remodeling factors, the plant RBR proteins cease cell mitosis or endoreduplication and enter a phase of differentiation in a cell type-dependent manner. Tremendous progress has been made in deciphering their physiological function, but many important properties of the plant RBR protein still need to be elucidated.
